Christian Education Opportunities

Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday. Our well-rounded curriculum provides training in the faith for all children. We offer three classes for adults.

Children’s Church meets during the church service after the Time for Children for children 3 years through 2nd grade. This is designed to help children grow as worshipers and to equip them to participate in the congregation’s worship service.

PYF - Presbyterian Youth Fellowship is for youth in grades 9-12. C.H.O.P. (Christians Helping Other People) is for youth in grades 6-8. Our youth programs schedule balances study, service projects, worship and recreation. They attend the Montreat Youth conference each summer.

Our Family Night Program begins Wednesday at 5:30 with dinner. Reservations are needed. The program which is designed for all ages four through adults begins at 6 p.m.

The Church Library contains Bible study guides, commentaries, other helpful books and numerous videos. The library is located in the south wing, and books may be checked out when the building is open.

Vacation Bible School focuses on a particular theme and takes place one week during the summer. This is for children ages K4 – 5th grade.  Older children can help as volunteers. The lessons are enhanced with music, crafts, and recreation.

Special activities are planned around various holidays. They include: Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween activity, Advent Sunday program, and the Happy Birthday Jesus Party

Camp Hopewell is our Presbyterian camp located just outside of Oxford and they offer activities such as fishing, hiking, swimming, games, study, and a great time. Summer camps for all ages are offered during June and July; brochures are available at the office.
